I have been riding horses since I was 4 years old. I started my first horse when I was 8 and my career (my first training-for-money) when I was 12. I have ridden with a number of different trainers in a variety of disciplines. I believe in responsive, not reactive horses, and such is my goal in training. I believe that a relationship must be built on trust and respect, and that it must go both ways. I produce quiet, trustworthy horses, with patience and education.

I make a point of continuing my own education through independent study of all aspects of horse care, including barefoot hoof care, proper bitting and dental, and horse anatomy - how a horse works, and why. I feel these are all important to reaching a horse's full potential, and having a happy horse in the meantime. And of course, I am always learning about the mind from the horses themselves. Students are often the best teachers, when the teachers can allow themselves to be taught.
