SOLD Django: 6 year old Grade QH cross bay gelding. Django is a home raised colt. I started him as a 2 year old, putting only a few rides on him before I moved. In the years between then and his arrival here last summer, he had an unfortunate experience with a "horse trainer" who did him more harm than good. The reason he was there is a matter of logistics, and he was no longer my horse. However, he has been here since last summer, and we have managed to erase that inconvenient spell, and things are much better. Django has been acting lesson horse all summer and fall, and is the horse I put guests on when they come to ride. He will likely be kept until next fall and used on a wagon trek in August. He will likely be offered for sale after that.
Django stands about 14.3hh, has a nice short back and is very athletic. He is friendly and easy to catch, good with his feet, easy to bridle and saddle.
Django will make a nice graduate mount for a youth who is interested in trail riding or gymkhana/barrel racing.

SOLD Buddy: 12 year old Grade appaloosa cross palomino gelding. See a Video of Buddy in the sale ring!
Buddy had 3 weeks of J. Tallman as a 6 year old. He spent the next 4 years ruling the roost, not being ridden - too many horses and not enough interest. He came to TTC in the fall of '05 for some training and to eventually find a new home. He was a wreck. While in physically good condition (and he is an easy keeper), he had a bad case of BPS (Backyard Pet Syndrome). Due to various time constraints, it has been a slow road. Last summer he had his teeth done, which made a big improvement in his attitude, and lately I have been riding him again.
Buddy is a stout gelding, 14.3hh. He is very friendly, but no longer feels he should walk all over you

Buddy -
- is easy to catch and saddle
- is good with his feet
- can be ridden bareback with a halter
- is straight in the legs with good bone
- has a strong walk, a mile eating trot and a lope you could ride all day
- is sidepassing and learning to half pass
- takes both leads on cue and has lots of natural collection at a lope
- has crossed the tracks, ridden down the highway
- has lots of road miles with dogs running about & in and out of the bush
- is not afraid to get his feet wet
- opens and closes gates under saddle (he doesn't - I do!)
- gets after cows, pins his ears, doesn't balk when facing up to cattle
- stops and backs up
- drags bales around on a sled, tarps and all
- is neck reining quite well, ridden in a gag bit or snaffle
- will go anywhere you ask him as long as you can be a good leader
- is a real pleasure to ride under pressure in a livestock operation. He doesn't lose his head, he jogs nice or gets up into a lope if and when you need him. He is happy to stand when that is all that is required of him. He stays by when you have to get off and open a gate by force of your whole body, scramble the horse and yourself out of the way so the cattle can come by, and mount back up in a hurry
yep, he done impressed the pants off me last Thursday
Buddy was sold at the Western Horse Sales Unlimited sale at Saskatoon Livestock Sales on May 5th. He is being charged with the education of an 11 year old girl, under the instruction of competent parents.
